Freedom of speech in Russia is extremely restricted. They won't deplatform you on command, but once you, inevitably, break some obscure law, you can be banned through official government channels. Russians may dislike globalists, but for their bureaucrats, western countries is a popular option for retirement. And they can be bribed.

  1. You don't need to have actually broken any law. There's the catch-all change of "extremism", of course, but people have also been sentenced to fines and prison terms for breaking laws which hadn't existed at the time but judges thought should. The sentencing process and the court session don't need to be legal. Evidence doesn't need to be legally admissible. Fucking aura reading is admissible. Who are you going to complain to, the ECHR?

  2. You also don't need to be banned/sued through official government channels. "US-style" private deplatforming has been widely used here since 1991.

Null (of Kiwifarms) is considering hosting in Eastern Asia. He's lived in Slavic countries and is probably familiar with hosting options there. If Russian hosting is not good for a gossip site, it's not good for politics.
