From an insurance forum discussion about it -

" He is a political commentator. This is a professional liability policy that was dropped. The whole job (risk to the insurer) of a political commentator is what that person says. It was a legal, free market business decision. Either we are a free market or we arent. "

Reading that, him getting dropped makes more sense. It also explains why it was a joint decision from the marketing team and an underwriting team.

Still seems biased, though. Does AIG also drop socialist political commentators?
