Fauci later walked back his statement that masks don't work. He said it to keep people from hoarding supplies so that our medical workers would have masks.

That's a funny way to say "he deliberately deceived us to serve his own needs."

He was directed to do that by the Trump administration. So you can blame them if that is convenient. The reality is, they were unprepared and they downplayed the emergency so that the stock market wouldn't tank and people wouldn't panic. We have emergencies all the time and our FEMA and other emergency agencies get scraps. If they were properly funded and stocked, this wouldn't have happened and masks would not be controversial now. This has been a long-standing problem going back decades, so I blame ALL the politicians for letting this happen through apathy. But the Trump administration weaponized anti-masking by this series of missteps. It should never have happened.

Trump is directed to do the things he has done by the global financiers. Same with Biden, Obama, Bush, and so on. They play a scripted role, with some ad-libbing I'm sure.

FEMA did pretty well under Obama, actually. They have lots and lots of stockpiled things, and more buildings across the country than people realize. There is a walmart FEMA got their hands on about four years ago in my home-city. It has a big covered fence surrounding it now, so we can't see what they've got going on in there.

I understand that FEMA's stockpile of masks and gloves were depleted by the SARS and Swine Flu pandemics and were not properly restocked. Also for some reason the N95 masks they chose had elastic latex rubber bands, which have an expiration date, because they lose their plasticizer and then they break. (I had some of those myself in my basement from an old remodeling project... every single one of them in a box of 20 broke the bands when I tried to use them.)

There were a couple of problems with the stockpile. (1) They were not properly funded to restock to their previous levels and (2) They were actually selling masks and other equipment at government auctions right up until the end of February! I saw pallets and pallets of 3M N95 masks being sold on GSA myself. If I had had a way to transport them, I would have bought a pallet and resold them on the private market. This was a HUGE blunder.

No, they have other things stockpiled besides masks and gloves, lmao. I don't give a shit about you and your mask psychosis.

Sure, you are talking about the same stockpiles I am. Emergency supplies for FEMA. They call it the Strategic National Stockpile. They have warehouses full of everything from sleeping bags to penicillin. It is well documented that they ran low on a bunch of stuff and they didn't resupply it due to Congress not authorizing the budget request... for years. This is on Congress and the POTUS.

You have got a really weird take on censoring information by putting it down the memory hole. Our media is doing it, and all you want is to insert unrelated rants against DA GUMMINT.
