Those demonizing Rittenhouse really have the wrong end of the stick on this one.

The video is available and we can all see it. Rittenhouse shot 3 people, killing 2. In every case, they were closing with him. Whenever he is given freedom of motion and the ability to act rather than to react, he does everything he can to disengage. Even before the first shooting, he was trying to put distance between himself and his attacker. There is zero suggestion anywhere in the video evidence of any intent on his part to start violence, only of: first, trying to put out a fire, and second third and fourth, reacting to being physically attacked. The injustice of how he versus his attackers are being treated could not be clearer.

BLM is in a more and more difficult PR position with each passing day. They are manufacturing heroes out of convicts and claiming that this series of incredibly measured and self-controlled acts of self-defense by Rittenhouse are intentional murder. From comments I'm seeing, BLM is - absolutely rightly so - losing this argument hard.

The only negative I would say in the case of Rittenhouse is that his parents shouldn't have allowed a 17-year-old kid to put himself in the position where he was forced to act as he did. No matter what happens from here, his life will never be the same. He was forced to kill two people, and the scar from that will never be gone. That is tragic.

It seems like none of this will matter in the end. They need their sacrificial lamb to make it known nationally that you have no right to defend yourself or your neighborhoods. That's not your place.
