This is the problem with centralized services. No matter how appealing they may seem, whenever they become big enough, you can count on them to remove content / users for political reasons. What we need is a federated blogging service that still maintains the social aspect, such as recommendations of similar posts / bloggers, and an aggregation of popular content, all independent of what instance they're on.
