I don't support it at every stage. I think any reason up until 13 weeks then you need a reason, but that can be distress rather than illness. It depends on what country you are from. Most rad fems from countries where they have a religious right trying to outlaw all abortion are extremist on having the right to course choose at any stage because they have to be. If they give an inch they lose it all. Those of us from counties where you can have a civil debate are more nuanced.

This Rad fems need to look at the whole issue and abortion can be used to control women as well as giving them choice. Many young mother's are told its their fault if their schools or employers discriminate against them as they could have just had an abortion. That's not a real free choice, that's just moving the judgement of whether a woman should be allowed keep a pregnancy or not from doctors to snobs and misogynists. Then you have the whole horrible issue of abusers coercing their victims to have abortions they don't want.

The main thing is that the mother's life and health (including mental health) is paramount throughout pregnancy. In some counties women are dragged into surgery against their will because doctors value the pregnancy over the woman or women are allowed to die because available treatment would hurt the fetus (which then usually dies with the mother anyway). Those things are not right and it's a pretty simple fix in law and medicine to prioritise the born over the unborn.
