While QAnon is fake af, this is clear election meddling.

Q is fake but this will gain them many followers and be seen as proof it is real, streisand effect. And I agree that needing to censor some people lends credence to what they say, on the other hand I also wonder when exactly is Trump gonna lock all these people up, any day now?

Yeah I am still waiting for the swamp to begin being drained... like any sign whatsoever of any swamp draining...
It's just like "trickle down" where we just wait for decades until it becomes obvious we've been fooled.
And what're we going to do otherwise, vote for Joe Biden?
This whole thing is a fucking joke being had at our expense. We're being robbed blind and our "representative" system doesn't represent us at all.

Democracy doesn't represent the will of the people and never has. It reflects the will of elites in media who push ideas onto the people. At least when you have just one party, all the people are on the same team. Our current democracy seems to only breed division.

Yes I agree to some extent, but it's also a balance that the people get what they what somewhat so they allow the government to rule over them. This is the social contract, which is being broken more and more frequently by those in power because they think they are completely beyond reproach when they are not in actuality
streisand effect
People have to start realizing that the Streisand effect, while true for some small cases of censorship, simply doesn't apply to the mass-scale censorship we're seeing. Of course if you censor something you'll see less of it - and things get censored all the time; there's not even much outrage anymore. Censorship proponents are well-aware of backlash; they have sophisticated network models of exactly the kinds of speech they want to target, and they are using military tactics to combat it - they use coordinated censorship, targeted censorship, they use bans at random to keep people afraid, they split up networks into smaller communities, they target hub nodes of the network - all their moves are politically calculated.

It is the year 2035. Bans are now performed through AI and SkyNet has come online. There is only one human user left on Twitter, a rare black transgender multi-racial Muslim double amputee asthmatic cripple from the eastern Chickahominy native American tribe with ten different kinds of cancer, who can trace zer lineage directly back to Karl Marx. Zer oppression is so great, even SkyNet has been unable to ban that user.

I think they want Twitter to just be a platform for the dying journalist class. The are going to ban all regular users and Twitter will just be a 24 hour BuzzFeed-esque stream of mental diarrhea.

I love it when every single comment on a thread needs upvoted.

I think the issue is that this will flag anyone who points out pedophilia as “problematic”. Meanwhile, there are “MAP” (minor attracted persons) organization members on Twitter with MAP as their hashtags.
