As did a lot of other people in the comments. Youtube has a TON of terms autobanned and they don't even let you know when your comment gets put into the void.

This also happens with live streaming. When you comment nono words it looks like your message gets though but it doesn't show up on the streamer's side. I tested this by watching a streamer who had their chat pulled up on stream and I commented with varying degrees of offense. You would be surprised what kind of stuff they shadowban. Couldn't use the word dindu, kang, jew and many other things. Even some numbers are banned, for example 88 (because of the connotation to HH). I may not support people who are actual Nazis, but to ban terms because they COULD be offensive is so stupid.

I thought it was funny and no way it would get pulled. Kinda freaked me out when it was instantly pulled. They must have Skynet over there at goggle HQ. It must be how it all starts the machine decides the most efficient way to stop people posting 'problematic' comments on youtube is to wipe out humanity.

      i would not go so far as that. these things are complicated yet not sufficient understanding has been spread across a great enough population. i find the theory of ethics very hard, after i took an intro course in ethics in college. for an idea to be widely accepted, especially a social one, takes decades and even centuries to sort out. in fact, you don't need to go into the social sciences to find an example. perhaps due to the AI winters, a very classic and powerful idea in the field of AI, support vector machine, took three to four decades to reach a common researcher's ear from its birth as this sorta footnote on a Russian research paper. now it's taught as a standard tool at an introductory level.
