I think he wanted the site down. Physical theft from data centers does not happen, and he could have had the site back up with backups. We're talking a career tech guy and ex googler. Sorry wrong thread but I did some digging after your other post.

I don't think he used a data center. It's my understanding that he had it on his property in Panama.
