If you have a BA or BS, that's enough of a degree to take a position teaching English.

However, I spent about ten years in China. Most Chinese women will never make a serious commitment to a relationship with a foreigner. Their parents disapprove, their country disapproves, they want to have a Chinese kid with Chinese blood who lives in China and is proud of China. They want hukou, in China. If she wants to live in Shanghai, then you better have about three million US dollars or more so that you can buy a very small apartment. That's not even in the good part of town.

I highly recommend you spend some time talking to expats about relationships in China, expats that tried to get married, that did all the right things, and made all the right sacrifices.

Most relationships fail. The thing is that you will never be Chinese to them.

Unless, you're actually Chinese and somehow grew up in Ireland. Then you might have a chance of a relationship with a Chinese girl. You do know that if you marry her, then you're responsible for buying houses for her parents, and her grandparents, and you're going to be their social security, and she'll probably expect to control 100% of the money that you earn from any job. That's the Chinese way, and the Chinese expectation.

They might just move into your house with her. If that happens, you get to make a baby one time. After that, your sex life is over. So much to know. Talk to some expats.
