Awww, what surgery did she have?

She and two of her brothers got fixed yesterday. I've since let them out of their cage because the tent was too hot, they were thrashing around messing the food and water up, getting litter everywhere, extremely unhappy. They're technically strays and the idea is to prevent anymore from showing up. I still have 4 cats to go, one which is female and the two mothers. It was an absurd $750 for the three and all these shots. I'm thinking of just doing the females now. It's been super inconvenient, I did consider "dumping them" on an amish property or something but I can't do that, just cannot. The thought has been bugging me immensely. So I'll take care of them, they live in my porch, where they've torn holes in the screens. They have litter boxes down there and also shit in the mulch around the house, which is better than on neighbors property. They eat cheap kibble and I play with them everyday. I'm so grumpy about current events and situations etc etc etc that they are becoming major friends of mine. I'm concerned about getting too attached because when I love something, things seem to go upside down eventually. Better cats than women though.

Wow! Have you tried calling around for places that do low cost neutering, particularly for strays? We have a place here called CAPs and they'll do free neutering for strays and it only cost $30 to neuter Gizmo. I believe they subsidize the procedure with donations.

You're a good man, Entropick.

Thanks muskrat, I appreciate that. I did do a little research into a mobile unit but getting on the list wasn't possible at the time, this chance to do it came up, I realy wanted it done. I'm going to look around more for the rest because $30 sounds wayyyyy better. They're such nice cats, so friendly, enthusiastic, they all get along. I'll get some more pictures soon.

Also, not sure of the legality, but perhaps you can learn the procedure.

I considered that but I am in no way equipped or confident enough to take their lives into my hands like that. I could learn and be trained potentially but I couldn't backyard practice the veterinarian arts. Cool idea though. I got a major aversion to causing living things pain, total puss.

Maybe you should just do spay/neuter and rabies, would that cut down on the cost considerably? Those are kind of the important ones.

Yes thanks for the tip, these three got the rabies and I'm going to shop around for the rest. They're such cool cats to be around.
