Cool, great idea! What's your favorite kind of car?

I'm sad the Aptera prototype never made it into production. Buckminster Fuller would have loved it.

So I'd have to settle for any Tesla by practical default. Though apparently batteries are not as environment friendly as implied due to extractions and manufacturing.

Not very practical, but I just like the uniqueness of it, the Prowler.

I guess that's why I like art cars, but my favourites are mutant vehicles

That Aptera is something else! That'd certainly turn heads

It was my consumerist dream until they broke my heart by closing shop. Now I dream of owning nothing but a bunch of servers to be nodes on a bunch of decentralized networks. Everything else is bonus self-indulgent fluff. If I played the lottery and won, my life wouldn't change too much. I'd move to a better place and eat better food, and hire folks to help make my projects, and I might consider going back to Burning Man eventually, but otherwise not much would change for me. My new Earthship commune compound wouldn't make the same mistakes the Branch Davidians made.

FYI It was in the background of one of the Star Trek movies, among others.

These guys are still at it with a light 3 wheeled car. Not as nice looking as Aptera tho. https://www.eliomotors.com

That's awsome!

Granted, it's a one-seater, but still. It looks like they borrowed a bunch of the Aptera ideas and pulled back by half. Maybe in the future, after getting more established, they'll lean into the Aptera design more.
