What does it matter? the damage is done. the public wont care what the outcome is. Supposedly 70% of Americans only read headlines and as much as I loath people considering Canada to be America jr. The reality is we share a significant portion of culture with each other so with that in mind its not a stretch to say that 70% of Canadians also likely only read headlines. 8/10 people also apparently react to headlines before reading an article. On top of this its important to note that CBC has a hard liberal/leftist bias and many Canadians are staunch progressives who will believe anything they hear on CBC. So the fucking terrifying reality is we have so many people who are tuned out to what's happening and make most of their opinions up within 10 seconds of seeing a headline which from almost any news source will have some level of bias to it.

False.

The rest seems legit.

you are right. the public will care. if the outcome fits their narrative they will be smug shitheads. if it doesn't they will pretend right wing conspiracy theorists are influencing the system.
