Interesting.

I'm not into "rock" or "metal" but I can appreciate this for the new take on patriotic nostalgia.

I've always wanted someone, anyone, to do a cover version of (Canadian) The Grapes Of Wrath's All The Things I Wasn't in the intense but constrained style of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters or The Unforgiven - maybe even doing it in an imitation of Lars.

Don't recognize that one. I can't listen to it past a minute. Not my style.

you should not limit yourself to one genre, or style... but i get it

beauty of music is the mix genres into there own

many metal bands do, with country, even pop its all intermeshed

I'm so far from limited. I just don't dig some styles, though there are always exceptions. Unfortunately to find the best of the best means going through all the other stuff. That I won't do. That's another reason why filtering aggregating sites like SaidIt are handy.

With music you can mix almost any genre. Before I saw Make-Up live I thought funk-gospel would be contradictory but they made it work.

i dont care, i use to be like that... i've since opened up to levels and learn to listen.. everything i find and post is just that. i know within a few seconds how the song going to go composition wise

you should be more open.

I only post stuff that I think is good and worth sharing. To many folks it may not be, but it's certainly better than stuff we can all agree is bad - unless it's so bad it's cringe, which is good again.

It's laughable that you think I should be more open. There are remarkably few I've met that are as open. Regardless, I've still come to the conclusion that there are definitely some genre's I don't like and won't ever spend time trying to. I love Mexican food, but while I can tolerate their generic polka music I don't like it, and won't ever bother trying to find the exceptions that I do like.

Just because I don't like it doesn't mean I'm not open.
