Hastur, the "King in Yellow" has a lot of "fictional" uses that tickle the conspiracy part of my brain.

Most notably (and non-fiction, allegedly):

We looked at the art. Eugene knew a lot about art. He told me that the (Alpha) Lodge had a few Adolf Hitler originals. He said that Art Deco was very Left Hand Path, but I don’t remember it much. Stuff about angles and commanding attention. He spoke about propaganda techniques, the king in yellow (whoever that is), Africa, their control of politics, the media and advertising. This guy could talk and convincingly.

Edit: If you have any more sightings of the King in Yellow, please let me know.

the king in yellow has just hit my radar. Its a rapidly rising meme that has not quite reached actualisation. The next big, imo.
