Before you read the article: pick a random non-fiction book that you've read (good or bad or mediocre), read / skim through it again, then rate it out of 5 stars.

Then read the article.

Then see how many of the rules the book matches. Please share your findings!

Did 3 'random' old study books, only https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22385921-operating-system-concepts?from_search=true failed with a 3.5

Pretty sure I had the first edition and enjoyed this one (I remembered the cover).

But yeah Beta (or STEM for america) books are usually used in universities because they are good and written by experts opposed to the Alpha (humanity-like) studies that feature 'teacher wrote this book and needs to sell it'-crap.
