A readable version of the Bible without all the "thee"s and "thou"s cluttering everything up. Interesting to see the wealth of cultural icons here, not just Adam and Eve, but east of Eden, the mark of Cain, be fruitful and multiply, and so on.

Nobody knows, or cares what the difference between thee and thou is. They're obsolete forms of English that have long since dropped from our language.

The King James version was written centuries ago. We've gotten a lot better at translation since then.

So why don't you learn Aramaic and read the Bible in the original?

They are all translations from a dead language. Using one from centuries ago is foolish. We have a much better understanding of linguistics now and can make far superior translations.

No, adults will teach themselves Arabic so they can read the Koran in the original. If you'd like to read the bible without a crappy KJV translation muddying things up, learn Aramaic.
