Something I’ve always wondered about Goodreads: does it censor readers with “controversial” views, whatever that might be? Say, ardent far-right Trump supporters or diehard Communists who think America is evil (just trying to describe hypothetical people on two political extremes). What about someone who refuses to address a writer by “preferred pronouns”? Can they be reported? Banned from the site (as on Twitter)?

You don't even need to be controversial. I once criticized The Long Walk from Stephen King since he made an error as how that deadly competition he wrote about would actually pan out in real life. I could still find it several days later, but a year later it was gone.

That’s crazy!! I suspected that might be the case, so I just use it as a book list of sorts, and give the star ratings without reviews. But I’m getting really sick and tired of this kind of censorship! And I have a feeling no matter where you go when it comes to sites, it’ll be the same thing.

When I'm clicking on the article it re-directs me to the main page. I tried it with another article-same results. Anyone else having the same problem? Is it my settings or the website?

Back on topic, Goodreads always have been trash and I don't trust their ratings.

ETA: It's them. They want me to create an account or log in.
