I hope they ban transitioning for anyone under the age of 21. We need to stop this dangerous trend before it cause young women to become extinct.

My life is great I own my house, make $2k a week at my job and have great friends I see on a regular basis.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

What do you define as transitioning, specifically?

[–][deleted] 23 insightful - 2 fun23 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

The medical intervention of children. Puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones or surgery. This is medical experimentation on a gender non-conforming gay and lesbian population. It often leads to the sterilization of this traditionally "non-desirable" population. America has a nasty history of non-consensual sterilization - as recently as 2010s in California prisons. Now, it's been rebranded with popular support. A decade ago, this would've been seen as what it is - eugenics.

Thanks for specifying, deleted user.

I wonder if part of the appeal of transitioning is that once you have, cis people have to walk on eggshells around you rendering you (in this day and age) essentially bulletproof.

[–]oyasuminasai50 43 insightful - 1 fun43 insightful - 0 fun44 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

It toes the same line as Munchausen syndrome. It garners attention, sympathy, and generates a sense of power and control (suddenly everyone around you is morally obligated to accommodate you, but also, since you've framed yourself in many ways as a victim, it's also taboo to question your validity).

[–]FediNetizen 29 insightful - 1 fun29 insightful - 0 fun30 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Munchausen's by Proxy in 2020 is parents transing their 7-year-olds.

I couldn’t agree more. It worries the hell out of me too.

As a transgender woman, I can confirm this does happen. I hate it, though, and push people to actually act normal. Anyone who transitions for control over others isn't actually transgender, just a disgraceful degenerate.

No true Scotsman fallacy

[–]Fuckyoucensorship 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Is it a still a no true scottsman fallacy when pointing out some of these people do not experience gender dysphoria which was a requirement for transitioning up until the past 4 years.

In which case being trans now simply means to label yourself as one but that is still relatively new.

I would argue stating someone does not fit a label's parameters is not a "no true scottsman fallacy" but is instead pointing out a bad faith actor.

Say someone claims to be blonde while not biologically or chemically possessing blonde hair. It is not a "no true scottsman" as that individual does not possess the qualities to be a part of the group they are claiming to be it is pointing out someone is not part of a label they are claiming. It would however be a fallacy if that person has dyed blonde hair and claims to have blonde hair and someone says they do not because they weren't biologically blonde so they don't count.

We can go into the lobbying and subsequent changes of the dsm and how that was solely done on political pressure imposing itself on the medical community as well if you'd like which would indicate to me that the label has been moved but the medical phenomenon has not, while also reducing the label to a word game. Much like the left enjoys doing.

So you're against self ID? I agree with you

[–]Fuckyoucensorship 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Absolutely against it. Happy to see we agree on it though.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That implies the definition actually changed, which it didn't.

This being targeted against young people is the most fucked up thing. Telling kids that if their parents don't support them going through a serious irreversible medical procedure to feel happy. Then they will probably kill themselves.

[–][deleted] 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Threatening suicide is a known abusive tactic. Especially horrendous when the data shows females are more likely to kill/hurt themselves after transitioning.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I feel bad because I know they want to do this transition as teens because then your body developes during puberty and it will develope closer to what the gender is they want. That being said even in that case you can't change your gender and you will have a messed up unhealthy body for life. This would be similar to if a young boy has a hormone problem and he should be given testosterone or HGH in order to have a healthy adult life. In that case though it wouldn't be trying to change an otherwise healthy body for no good reason it would be a decision based on keeping a human healthy.

[–]Literallyawoman 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It’s predatory grooming to isolate kids from their support systems

[–][deleted] 20 insightful - 2 fun20 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

The people pushing transgenderism on children should be executed; they are objectively evil (permanently mutilating and sterilizing children) and have no place in a just society.

I'm torn on this topic when it comes to teens. If a teen is that retarded, it may be for the best that they are sterilized.

[–]blackrainbow 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

I don't think it's all parents' fault, a lot are manipulated by gender specialists. As for the teens... A lot have other mental illnesses like bpd or anorexia

[–]jet199 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

A parent only goes to a gender specialist in the first place because the can't deal with their kid playing with what they see as the wrong toys or dressing up in the wrong clothes. What kind of person has that kind of extreme over reaction?

[–]Anonimouse 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

A lot have probably believed the hype about not assuming the kid is cis/het. Add in that a lot of the messaging says early transitions have better outcomes. It's a well meaning but poorly informed parent.

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

A therapist should never be sought out if you are a parent. Letting your kids anywhere near one is like playing Russian roulette. A more despicable lot of people do exist, but we're talking Epstein's black book people at that point.

You could luck out and get someone that helps little Timmy get over his fear of wetting the bed, or you could get someone that says little Timmy is now little Tina, and if you don't go along with it and neuter him your parental rights are revoked and the state will do it for you.

[–]Anonimouse 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Do you mean psychology in general, or gender therapists?

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Psychologists in general - unless someone is an imminent danger to themselves or others it's a retarded thing to see one, because they have vastly too much power over the people they "treat" due to the family court systems. All of your sovereign rights and parental rights can be bypassed by them easily.

[–]Anonimouse 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I'm going to guess you've had a bad experience and generalising a lot from that. They also don't have that much power unless something has already happened to get in front of a court.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm going to guess you've had a bad experience and generalising a lot from that.

Personally, no - but I've seen it happen to several people on the right side of the political spectrum. Psychology has been used as a weapon against dissidents by government regimes and corporations (against whistle-blowers) across the world for the past century.

They also don't have that much power unless something has already happened to get in front of a court.

They have tons of power, from forcing someone into a mental institution to triggering "red flag" laws or CPS/custody issues by manufacturing things like child abuse. I realize not all of them are bad, I'm just saying if you encounter an evil therapist they are legally empowered in most US states to make your life a living hell just by saying the right things to the right people. If you are charged with something, they can ensure you don't get bond by saying you're a flight risk. So, they can quite easily render you unemployed, homeless, and either institutionalized or in jail facing bogus criminal charges (that will likely ultimately be dropped if it's made up hearsay, but that doesn't help you while you sit in a cell for months). The only type of person with more ability to destroy your life with baseless allegations is a District Attorney.

So, if you're gonna see one or let someone you know see one;

1) Ensure you are recording all sessions / so that if your therapist is a bad apple you have some defense against whatever lies they could tell (which is anything imaginable).

2) Make sure you have enough spare cash put away to afford a retainer on an expert witness and an attorney so that if necessary you can reclaim whatever rights they legally stripped away from you without trial.

Not because something like that will happen to you, but because it can and does happen to plenty of people. If you do win the psychopath lottery you definitely don't want to end up in a he said/she said versus a "mental health professional". You'll either spend loads of money and time attempting to undo the damage done, or you'll just be screwed.

The brain isn't fully developed until 25. Teens should be protected from medical experimentation as well.

Ya that interview made me read it.

[–][deleted] 13 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's like the grass is always greener on the other side. People want to change their sex or gender which are the same thing, because they think the other side has it better.

[–][deleted] 13 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

It disgusts me that there are people are actively want to assoicate with the trans ideology, which is run by bitter fat white creepers that only care about being sex creeps towards women and girls. Which is unsurprising. I need to read more books anyways tbh.

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm transgender and I won't even touch that shit. It's not about expression, it's about control.

[–]Literallyawoman 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Lots of “transmen” under 25 who also use they/them pronouns are depressed, suicidal young women who associate femininity with weakness and think presenting as male will fix their non-dysphoric mental health issues, and it’s my experience and belief transitioning creates dysphoria because the sad reality is even for those who “feel” like a man, will never look like or be a man, or be desired by the usually “cisgender” gays and straights they are attracted to.

Trans activists can claim passing doesn’t matter but it seems to be the end game THE be all and end all for 99% and the idea that passing as one of the two sexes will make life easier outside your identity politics is a joke. When someone lists off their pronouns it just put a big red flag on them that screams insecurity, needy, self-obsessed and obviously mentally ill.

Lots of young kids entering sexless, romanceless relationships out of a fear of abandonment after leaving abusive and unsupportive parents-being sucked up by the trans community and told they’re trans, non binary, asexual when they aren’t...because everyone feels uncomfortable in their own skin-self love and acceptance starts inside not out. It’s not for lack of a label that you can’t find love it starts within.

Personally I’ve lost weight from obese to fit, and feeling desirable physically with all the compliments and not being overweight made life easier in a LOT of ways-but it didn’t do SHIT for my self esteem which surprises many people in the weight loss forums...inside I was still fat, insecure, still a binge eater and alcoholic just a healthier looking one...and that’s what these kids are going to learn the hard way-you could magically turn into the hottest version of yourself as your chosen sex overnight and you’d still have all your life problems and complications.

Shrier was on JRE if anyone is interested. It was a really interesting interview where they discuss the book and other stuff.

[–]quickbeam 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

What I think is wild is that kids under 18 aren't considered mature enough to vote, smoke cigarettes or consent to sex, but they are somehow old enough to understand medical risks and make decisions about whether or not they should permanently alter their bodies. That's weird. This is how you end up also with strange situations like people being tried as adults, put in adult prisons, but then they get in trouble while in adult prison for smoking a cigarette. We really are in the infancy of figuring out our ethics and laws in regards to who is a minor and what rights/privileges/responsibilities/protections minors ought to have.
