Gravitas: The UAE hits back after Houthi drone attack by Tiwaking in Yemen

It is only a matter of time until somebody uses a coordinated drone attack for a targeted political hit. When it happens the Secret Service is going to shit their britches. I'm surprised some bored 1% rich guy hasn't already built them.

The Saudis lost their ally, they lost the war and would have to sue for peace. They are now doing so. But they fighting in Yemen will continue until that country finds a new balance.

That absurd. This is a 1-sided conflict. Fighting will continue until the Saudis stop attacking Yemen.

UAE Withdrawal from Yemen Could be Decisive Moment in Civil War by Stankmango in Yemen

This Yemen civil war seems to be dragging on forever. And it's almost never talked about in the US media, despite the fact the US is basically giving arms and money to Saudi Arabia to attack Yemen with.

/s/Zionism has been in my list since I made the list, but I've generally been able to slide it in to related subs begrudgingly.

I'm more than a little disappointed in myself that I hadn't added /s/Wahhabism to the list until today. Especially when there's no /s/Islam, /s/Muslim, or even /s/SaudiArabia. Go figure. If anything it's a little hint that SaidIt is not a place for hate. Or appreciation for Islam. Either that or we've been too ignorant to follow an important thread.

To be fair to myself, I hadn't added /s/Buddhism to my list until now either, and while I'm an atheist I still like /s/Zen Buddhism and have a bunch of Buddha heads of various sizes here.

Or if you want to fill some gaps: /s/Animals, /s/Banksters, /s/BigPharma, /s/Home_DIY, /s/Energy (I made a banner), /s/FLOSS, /s/GreenParty, /s/Justice/Inequality/Law/Prisons, /s/LibertarianParty, /s/Military, /s/OpenScience, /s/RacialDivision_EliteTool, /s/Sex, /s/Singularity, /s/SocialEngineering, /s/Solutions, /s/Sports, /s/Technocracy, /s/UBI, /s/UNAgendas, /s/Vehicles, /s/WorkerCoops

It's pretty funny that for all the subs we have, we don't have Zionism. I'll think about it.

Agreed completely. Yeah we should all be calling it out. I suspect many have never heard of it and the others just lump all Islam together.

Let's dig up some Wahhabism textbooks and show everyone how crazy it is.

Also by calling out the ism it demonizes the bad ideas rather than the people who may or may not be forced into it.

A+++

I don't understand why folks don't just say Wahhabism is evil like Zionism - other than the Saudis are our ally and foster it all. But if we can call out Zionism then...

Also by calling out the -ism it demonizes the bad ideas rather than the people who may or may not be forced into/under it.

And no one has to use Islam, Muslim, Arab or Jew if they can target the -ism.

The US gave/sold saudi the weapons that they're using in Yemen, so I highly doubt the US leadership is 'embarrassed'. But whatever the reason I'd be glad to see this conflict end sooner rather than later. Saudi arabia has spent the last 20 years arming themselves to the gills though, so I'm sure they'll want to keep using all that. And I'm sure Israel and the US would be happy to tell them where to attack next.

Saudi Arabia has demanded that aid agencies operating in Yemen should provide favourable publicity for Riyadh’s role in providing $930m (£725m) of humanitarian aid, an internal UN document reveals. ... Future grants distributed by [the UN aid agency] Ocha to agencies should be tied to the amount of beneficial publicity given to Saudi Arabia, the documents advises. It also calls for Ocha to seek favourable publicity for the Saudi humanitarian effort in Yemen in newspapers such as the New York Times and the Guardian.

And NPR does just that:

NPR - 'It Is Time To End This Conflict': U.S. Calls For Cease-Fire In Yemen

Despite concerns raised by international aid groups and some lawmakers, the White House has steadfastly backed its friend in the fray, Saudi Arabia, defending the Saudi coalition's efforts to prevent civilian casualties.

Because starving a country to death is certainly the best way to avoid casualties...
