"While running a facial recognition pilot, one man covered himself up. The police forced him to show his face (& then fined him for disorderly conduct). This is dangerous & terrifying."

Exactly. Giving up our freedoms in intensifying increments for the false idea of "security" is terrifying and dangerous. Not to mention it is well-known that this technology mis-identifies people regularly. You'll be in jail for a while until they figure it out, if they care to.

What freedom is being given up?
How is the idea of security false?
How do you know that false identification guarantees someone will end up in jail? What if they also have ID on them that clarifies who they really are?
It sounds to me like you're throwing FUD at something, when in truth you just want to have the ability to commit crimes without it being a certainty that you would get caught. You like the idea that law enforcement is limited in its effectiveness.

Please don't tell me what I would like or want. I don't do crimes, which is why I don't like being treated like a criminal in all sorts of new ways and circumstances. I am not throwing FUD, I am expressing my opinion that ordinary people should not have to prove their innocence before any crimes have even been committed.

You can't answer the questions I put forth, but go ahead and insist you're concerns are honest ones.

What does facial recognition have to do with establishing guilt? You sound like you're very confused.

Or apparently to be confrontational and accusatory. Such fun!

You just come seeking validation, apparently. You'll never grow if you don't challenge your assumptions.
