War may be an industry, but it is not a capitalist one. You cannot blame capitalism for anything paid for with tax dollars.

I don't have a particular stance on this issue, but I just want to point out that it is possible for multiple things to be to blame. Few things have just one cause.

You just "practice" a lot, and continuously upgrade and replace equipment that will never see a real battle. You scare governments into believing they need to buy more firepower, regardless of whether it will ever be used.

Legislate away the profit motive. If the war profiteers can no longer make bank on it, they will stop starting wars for profit. That would end all U.S. wars at least.

cancel odious debt. if big banks worry they won't get repaid debt from countries that use it for illegal wars, they will be less likely to want to lend it out, great.
