Inshallah! .. and I’m Christian. The world wants nothing more than to see the Zionist scum perish. Netanyahu deserves to be tortured along with all the people he’s got his strings attached to. Demon spawns…

timesofisrael.com is obviously not a reliable source

Well, they do refer to original source:

Khamenei was quoted as saying by the Tehran Times

Here I googled it:

Divine promise of Palestine’s liberation ‘from the river to the sea’ will be fulfilled: Leader

The Leader referenced Quranic verses regarding the realization of God's two promises to the mother of Prophet Moses (pbuh). “Now God's first promise about the Palestinian people has been fulfilled, and that is the victory of the people of Gaza, who are a small group, against the big, powerful group [consisting of] the U.S., NATO, England, and a number of other countries. Accordingly, the second promise, which is the elimination of the Zionist regime, can also be realized. With God's grace, the day will come when Palestine will be established ‘from the river to the sea.’”

Wikipedia says:

The Tehran Times is an English-language daily newspaper published in Iran, founded in 1979 as the self-styled "voice of the Islamic Revolution". While not state-owned, it is considered state-controlled and closely tied to the hardline factions within the Iranian government.

Anyway, I don't think this is a significant news story, I just have a sort of habit of reposting controversial news stories from reddit to look whether they'll get any amusing comments here :)

Thanks.

The pattern I've seen is that Israel papers will quote one opinion an asshole in Iran (a general, a cleric, or Khamenei &c) and make that front page news. It's easy to get quotes like that from assholes. The way in which Iran is engaged in warfare while acting behind the scenes is of course very important. But I think that extremist opinions aren't helpful for understanding general responses in Iran from different groups. Meanwhile, dozens of senior officials in Israel (and some in the US) have openly called for the removal of everyone and everythig from Gaza, in any manner possible. Anyhow, just my 2 cents.
