Jesus, there's ten times more coverage of this protest in the mainstream media than there is of France being overthrown. Makes me think there might be something to Orban's accusation that Soros is involved. So I looked it up.

Apparently Hungary is seeing a labour shortage. That is there are too many jobs.

This bill is meant to help companies compete on the world stage by allowing them to demand extra hours from their employees. However, because of quite a lot of backlash a full month ago the government backed down fully. Now you're seeing protests why? Do people know that the extra hours are voluntary? What is the problem.

The protests are being staged by labour unions. Who are these labour unions and why do we need them in a country with staggeringly good financial growth in the job market? Because they are talons put in place by NGOs, exactly what Orban said it was.

Reporting on this is goddamn everywhere. It seems clear they wanted any excuse to stage protests that would divert attention away from what's going on in Western Europe. Headlines range from "Tear gas rocks Hungarian capital" to "Thousands march on Hungarian right wing government." Broadcast all the way to Canada news outlets for gods sake.

You can barely find Yellow Vests mentioned, despite two attempts on the European Parliament in Brussels.
