China will get involved if EU/NATO finally put soldiers on the ground. The UK has little country syndrome thinking United States will have our backs. Russia isn't Afghanistan, Libya or Iraq.

Boots on the ground seems the normal tipping point, but with US, UK, Poland, and more materially supporting Ukraine's war efforts, likely even completely propping them up, I'm not sure how long these actions won't be considered the equivalent of boots on the ground.
