I've heard it said that in the US, the people fear the government, while in France it't the other way around - the government fears the people.

Has he officially made those concessions? I haven't seen that reported. They had that ISIS attack at suspicious timing. Brexit seems like its never going to be follow through'd on

I like Owen Jones as an honest decent intelligent (overly verbose) voice of the left, though still within the Overton window of acceptable views. I can't speak to how much of a pawn he is beyond that, knowingly or not.
I also don't know about the ISIS attack. They always have those and sex scandals in their back pocket.
