Seriously? Reform of unemployment to UBI by Q1 2021? What a crock of shit. I actually know people who are pushing for UBI and not a fucking chance are they getting it by Q1 2021. The lockdown is trending towards re-opening with the occasional backslide here and there. I'm actually enjoying the lockdown. Not in my wildest dreams is any of this crap realistic. Ohhh, you're one of those, ahahaha, ok. I don't know if you've been paying attention, but disease outbreaks happen all the time. We don't get to decide how viruses mutate, so the scale of the outbreak is, for the most part, random- maybe it's ebola, maybe it's SARS, maybe it's the zombie apocalypse. It's hilarious because you conspiracy nuts do all that prepper shit, but I bet if a real zombie apocalypse happened, you'd be a skeptic until you get bitten and even then, you'd insist it was just a bite.

We don't get to dictate virus mutation but we do get to make decisions regarding government policies and social security. It's literally decisions made by people. So yes there are things within the realm of possibility and things outside of it. Trudeau's government is no more likely to reform unemployment to UBI than he is to gift every Canadian a handgun. He doesn't have the motivation, he doesn't have the means- it's not happening.

I'm not saying this WILL happen. I'm just stating that's one of a multitude of possible scenarios. No they're not. That would imply a modicum of care and empathy towards the poor. Nobody cares about poor people, not corporations, governments or even poor people themselves. If a civil war happens, it'll happen because the system is collapsing under the weight of all the mega rich people leeching off it. And if that happens, they're not going to instate a "totalitarian communist government", they're going to fuck off to the next safe haven and losers like us normies will be stuck holding the bag. You're not getting UBI, you're going to be defending your pile of gold and silver with your gun. It happens all the time in collapsing nations.
