Why would a twitter account move the markets? Markets are composed of physical goods not tweets. These traders are idiots.

Well the implication is that the presidents actions would drive the allocation of physical goods (through sanctions and trade bills), which changes the markets. So it makes sense to watch what the people say who control those things, because they can and will affect the price.

However they're finding with Trump that his words are so disconnected from his actions that listening to his words is entirely useless at best, and purposefully misdirecting at worst.

It's almost as if they should pay attention to the movements of goods instead of whatever lies come out of the mouths of politicians.

Agree. Actions mean 100x more than words, especially with politicans
