Pentagon Wants to Test A Space-Based Weapon in 2023 (I thought this shit was illegal under treaty to build, test, own or even claim to own? As if they are JUST getting them now, this is the typical 10 year later roll out when they have complete control of the technology before letting plebs own it)

Everything about this article screams "illegal", "foolish" and "slippery slope".

Just like everything else, it will be built for a "good purpose" (space lasers for aliens or asteroids, genetic modification for babies with genetic disorders, etc) - but with the door opened an inch, the rest of the world will smash the door in to get a piece of the new tech.

Fuck ethically-unregulated technological progress.
