The 3 day work week should be selectively implemented in industries that are impacted by automation enough to justify it. Any sweeping reform is doomed to be a failure because those who want to see it ended will forever use the worst examples to attack it until everyone has turned against it.

It is a good solution to some problems, it is not a good solution for unemployment itself.
