Universal healthcare is one of the things that I would expect to be the most basic function of a government. The US government seems to only have detrimental effects for me, except for a few exceptions like NASA and education, both of which are always losing funding…

This is coming from a libertarian anarcho-communist who appreciates free markets too (anarcho-communist meaning that I hope people will form a gift economy and that I support governmental changes that allow this, but don't force it). There are so, so many functions of the US government that seem way less important than universal healthcare, yet it still does them!
