The press has spent so much effort in branding conservatives the 'far right', so people won't vote for them. The problem is that any government that stays too long in power gets corrupt, and denying people the natural swings between moderate left and moderate right opens the door for far less palatable and more extreme options to become viable. The power brokers should be careful what they wish for.
