It would be better if the West just supplied Ukraine with Leopard 2s, but Western countries aren't willing to supply the number Ukraine needs. Consequently, Ukraine welcomes the US offer of M1s. The US will probably send personnel to Ukraine to repair M1s which are broken. Ukraine could send those tanks which need major repair to Poland for repair.
