They've been rebuilding Ukraine endlessly, while Ukraine West endlessly bombs Ukraine East, and visa versa, for more than 10 years. This has gone on even without Russia's help.

It just means Eastern Ukrainians who oppose the new government formed in Western Ukraine. This made them "separatists." They declared their independence and formed their own self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR). They felt the violent overthrow resulting in the sacking of the old Ukrainian government was questionable due to close involvement by foreign countries, who deem it a "people's revolution." They also question the referendum election that followed, which was largely paid for, organized, and had their candidates vetted by, those same foreign countries.

They are in Eastern Ukraine, called the Donabass region, which is short for Donetsk Basin. This was historically industrial hub and revenue center of Ukraine, due to it's mining. It sits Yet, through WWII, being a key military pass from Europe to the East, occupation of various regions of Ukraine by Soviets and other countries has left little recent history that didn't involve struggle, turmoil, and ruin. Following the wind down of the war, mining boomed for a short time leading to an increase in Russian-Ukrainian population immigrants settling in the East.

Of course there is a West and East Ukraine and it is a starkly different one, with US and European backed parts like Kiev and Odessa in Western Ukraine. The Donabass region and Denetsk are parts of the Russian backed in Eastern Ukraine. Ukraine is split vertically, right down the middle, by the Dnipro River, making two distinct physical sides hard to deny.

Yet, mostly what divides them is them is their historic differing WWII occupiers, leaving them a country still at war with its self, East versus West. This wasn't helped by tensions created by, sometimes cruel, questionable, post war anti-communism overhauls.

The Eastern Ukrainians likely feel they've never not known war. The Donabass region was one of the bloodiest areas of WWII, then even before Ukraine's newly formed government in the East, they were bombing each other. The most casualties, post war, was in 2014/ 2015, it accounts for most of the UN's estimated nearly 60,000 deaths between the two sides of Ukrainian's civil war and at least 3,400 of them civilians, according to UN estimates.

Probably, but the fake other side in Kiev is the product of UN manipulation of poorer countries, installing a puppet leader, and their desire to pressure Russia over the strategic land that is Ukraine. 1) Ukraine came to the US, UN, and Russia looking for financial help. The US/UN presented a deal, Russia presented a deal, Ukraine choose Russia, then we got angry and caused a coup, trying to make it look like a revolution. We do this oven, to many countries. Since then, we've been forcing them to make green energy, that we pay them mostly just to throw away. It is a small penance and Ukraine officials have states several times that they want to level Eastern Ukraine and turn it into green energy farms, so the UN nations will give them more money.

2) The UN/US ran the election, paid for the election, controlled the election, and vetted who was allowed to run for election. It was no more of a fair election than Russia's recent referendum that the US blew off as staged. Unfortunately, their sovereignty asks the US/UN for permission to piss.

3) Ukraine is the military key passage from West to East. It was a key point during WWII and will continue to be a key military point during this current World War.

4) All before the Russian intervention, between 2017 and 2020, Ukraine declared multiple times, that they were ready to go on the offensive against Russia. US officials declared around the same time, multiple times that Ukraine should go on the offensive. Ukraine increased pressure, instigation, and pushed more against Eastern Ukrainians. This resulted in human rights concerns. Yet, most countries kept their mouths shut, except the US, who was supportive and Russia, who went to Geneva with concerns of the Ukrainian government's steep increase of their decade long eradication of Ukrainians of Russian heritage. Geneva laughed at them, proving them not a non-biased world court and Western media propagandized laughing at the accusation of genocide as well. After this, Russia began the intervention that our media propagandizes as an invasion. Both are right from their own perspectives.

5) Yes, Western media all colludes together, US, UN, EU, it is all government controlled corporate propaganda. We don't have any real source of news. Fox is controlled just as much as AP and everyone else. Everyone who disagrees with your government programmed narrative is not just "some Fox news viewer", as Fox propagandizes the same narrative as everyone else. 7) You should pay attention to history, Ukraine has been the center pivot of multi-region war for thousands of years. They are a diverse people split down the center. Their native people are half Russian heritage and half European heritage. Both of those heritages are from war time occupation and invasions.
