Gaddafi turned Libya from one of the poorest countries in Africa to one of the wealthiest. His people lived great. Free electricity, super cheap gas, free healthcare, free education, etc. He was trying to form a United States of Africa with its own central bank, get off Rothschild slave dollar. RIP

Gaddafi was arse raped to death with a knife by his own people. His spoilt brat, very much Western establishment kids were hunted down one by one after they tried their soft hands at being warlords.

Funny how all these freedom fighters in the West have no problem with other people being under the cosh of oppression if they can make some anti western spin out of it.

I worked near the Libyan embassy during the civil war. Exiled Libyans from all over the country made their way there to protest against the government. The Libyan government then responded by bussing in a couple of coaches of paid actors (remember that tactic) to protest for the government. And, yes, the real protestors were often physically attacked and threatened by the Embassy security if they were unwise enough to wander away from public view and cctv.

The history of Ghadaffi and trying to emancipate some parts of Africa from their oppressing bullies in the UN...

Under Bush, we Americans bombed the crap out of Libya in a huge botched attack killing bunches of civilians. We bombed Ghadaffi's house with his family, but he escaped, having been tipped off.

t was a late and disproportionate response to an attack at a UN partner, and France wanted an immediate bloody response, but we drug our feet. Lots of countries thought it was super fucked up to bomb all those civilians and stuff mostly unprovoked and we eventually apologized and Libya apologized for shooting down the plane, we exchanged some millions and billions for damages to families and tried to get along.

Ghadaffi was referee for so many very tense foreign relations in the middle East, that he was involved in almost everything. Instead of looking at the big picture of him maintaining stability, we were selfish about our short term imperialistic goals and felt he was doing bad.

We Americans tried to spin up a civil war to overthrow him, with our covert coups, like we do with everyone we don't like. The shitty terrorists we were working with told us to keep low, so we were covert. Yet, France wanted his head on a pike for offering those African nations a gold backed currently to use instead of Francs, which allowed France and the UN manipulative control of their trade and economy. So we continued to arm terrorists and other enemies of him, pushing a proxy war against him, like we usually do.

In the end, we were the restrained ones, by comparison. Under Obama, we and NATO bombed the country again, killing Ghadaffi's son and three grand sons, then chased him out of town all murderous cow-boy style chase scene, lobbing drone bombs, while chasing his convoy, until we chased them into our Libyan terrorists buddies' hands. They captured and torched him, publicly releasing a video of torturing him, including raping his ass with a sword, then he was killed. They later captured, tortured, and killed his other son.

The entire world thought this, again, was a evil and terrible event, demanding war crimes investigations. I assume not much was done. We know that as long as the media propaganda does well demonizing someone, any immoral act against them will be largely ignored. The results was Syria going to hell, NATO finished off Benghazi, and terrorists steadily gained power overrunning most of the Middle East for a decade or more to come. Obama declared the War On Terror and went on to drone-murder the rest.
