You can put someone in hospice, and the doctors can facilitate the end-of-life process legally. Has anyone else done this?

Yes. Then it's awful to watch somebody go that way. My wife. Goddess when I married her 42 years ago. Way outside my League. The person that I had to watch die as her eyes begged me to make it stop. 😔

Not quite the same thing, hospice care just won't try to prolong your life. If your goal is not to live as a doped up vegetable and invalid, that isn't gonna be much help. I can't say I wouldn't prefer his way myself in his shoes

With all due respect, hospice kills people.

They hook them up to morphine, and tell them to push the button as much as they like.

I’m not sure how many people die naturally, but I can tell you two of the only deaths I have ever seen were morphine overdoses.

Or they give you fent until you have a heart attack, or push Vancomycin until your veins are shot. My one grandfather was given the bottle of morphine and told to use as much as he wanted. My other grandfather, grandmother, and my friend Otter all died in suspiciously timely manners to not to have been helped along.

Exactly. Nurses and hospitals are the grim reaper dressed in white gowns.

That's a good woman I hope someone is there for me that way in the end.

That's as selfish as that Aussie crone who had her lover kill her a few years back. The least this guy could've done was file for divorce when he received his terminal illness diagnosis just so as to spare her the financial obligation of the medical care debt, but not this guy unadulterated boomer asshole from skin to soul.

Now, not only did that selfish bastard place the burden of euthanizing him on his elderly wife, she's going to have to deal with the various costs of defending herself in court on top of dealing with settling her late husbands affairs, to say nothing of the psychological toll this is going to be for her. Guy must've really had Z.F.G. for her.

I couldn't see myself doing that to my wife. I mean, only a complete and utter bastard would do this to someone they love.
