Government think tanks have been writing about war against China for years and preparing for it ever since Obama started the switch from the Middle East to the Asia Pacific.

The strategy in the 2016 RAND report was to invoke a regional conflict (through Taiwan), where they believe that while the US may have some economic set backs, China would take a lot more damage.

The second strategy that some in government are vying for is all out nuclear war against China. COVID-19 and heavy media control were two of the phases in Operation Lockstep/Anglo-Saxon Mission.
