How many people did he kill or assault again? Any at all?

Did his songs ever explicitly encouraged any actual violence?

link is dead btw, hence my questions are only half rhetorical

I don't like racism or Neo-Nazis, but 10 years for speech is insane. I wouldn't want to live in any oppressive country where you can be jailed for what you say.

For the curious a selection of Mr Bond's parody songs are archived at Argent Beacon:

The pernicious influence of music on the wider culture is something that people have been debating ever since Ogg and Grunt started pounding rocks. See, for example, Frank Zappa in 1986 debating whether music should be censored on the political debate show Crossfire. The arguments haven't changed since then.

I can see why his music might be deemed offensive (which is why the authorities were originally searching for him) but it is no worse than plenty of other material readily found on the Internet; his crime was to make white nationalist music.

As Frank Zappa pointed out that to the extent music is a performance it is unfair to procecute musician for their persona. This argument worked in first amendment friendly USA of the 1980s but doesn't wash in 2022 Austria.

He should have recorded them out of country and sent them in on the Internet.

Not bothered researching this but I bet there have been more black on blick crimes than Neo-Nazi crimes, more black murders between each other than Neo-Nazi murders. If the world got rid of every Neo-Nazi person the high crime and murder rate would not change.

The ADL has just confirmed it for 2021 - once again far right, White extremists are the single most peaceful and law-abiding demographic in America.

Research has shown that about 11% of the US population agrees with White nationalist and right-wing views. That's 36 million people.

According to the ADL, amongst that 36 million people, there were 29 -- 29! -- murders in 2021.

So White nationalists and right-wing extremists committed 0.000801326333% of all murders in 2021.

(And of course even the ADL admits that number includes mostly non-ideological murders - prison fights, domestic disputes, etc.

So thanks, ADL. We know that 13% of the population does 53% of violent crime, and now we know that 11% of the population do 0.000801326333%.
