Turkey has real leverage here. They may be the most logical middle-man between Ukraine and Russia. It'll be interesting to see if they step into that role moving forward.

i dont know how much leverage turkey has but the Dardenelles and Bosphorus straits do not separate the russian navy from the ukrainian coast. russian warships do not need access to the Mediterranean to luanch an assult on ukraine. If they blocked merchant ships that might hurt the russian economy.
