This story is fascinating. For sure I support it. It's funny to see MSNBC hosts and liberals/progressives not supporting the removal of these troops. Just absolutely bizarre. Thanks for posting!

No problem. Haha I can imagine. I remember when I used to think liberals were anti-war but apparently they've been bought out all the same when it comes down to it. Plus they're addicted to wanting to the opposite of whatever Trump wants, it's good for their ratings unfortunately.

I actually wrote an article about this exact subject a few months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/magnora7/comments/8qtq40/remember_when_the_democrats_used_to_be_antiwar/

I guess some blogs picked it up too now that I'm looking through the google results: https://world-wide-democracy.com/articles/remember-when-the-democrats-used-to-be-anti-war.html

Neat.

Anyway, I'm curious to see if they actually pull out, or if this is just posturing and they're doing it as a pretext to some invasion 6 months from now. "We tried to be hands off, but Assad gassed his own people so we have to invade" is a narrative they've already tried to justify invasion with twice in the last 10 years, so I imagine we'll see some iteration of that again in 6 months or a year or whatever.

But any way you slice it, I'm glad to see action towards de-escalation of wars. That's something we saw with North Korea and Trump as well, and I feel like it's one of the few things going right with his administration, and it really blows my mind how many left-leaning people somehow figure out a way to be against that.

Just goes to show how much the military-industrial complex has captured both parties, and both sides of the news media as well.
