Being vaccinated doesn't stop you spreading the virus. It doesn't stop you catching the virus.

This is the problem the article is pointing out, there's a whole lot of silent assumptions in the pro-mandate crowd make which are just plain wrong.

Being vaccinated doesn't stop you spreading the virus.

It does reduce the spread of the virus, because the more people who are vaccinated, the more people have antibodies to deal with it and are thus less likely to have it for long periods and thus less likely to spread the virus to others. This i show innfection numbers have reduced. Even those who believe in 'herd immunity' appreciate this. The less likely one is to suffer from the virus, the less likely one is to spread it, because they are contagious for a shorter period.

It doesn't stop you catching the virus.

Yes, you can still get the virus, but you are less likely to pass it on, for reasons noted above.

I think the assumptions are not silent, but instead well documented in medical science research, testing, and billions of doses of vaccines, as well as reductions of infections between periods of new strains.

Why are you saying the infection rate has dropped when many countries are seeing their highest ever infection rates?

It might reduce the spread by a small about but in the real world that doesn't have much effect.

Most cases are caught in hospital, care homes, work, the family home where people are together for hours. Being 40% less infectious might make a difference when you are passing people on the street but in those situations it has next to no effect.

And let's face it we only had lockdowns and compulsory masks because zero symptomatic cases were supposed to be a major risk of spreading infection. So are you saying that was nonsense and those cases were actually no problem.

Just barely past the peak and "it's dropping". Two weeks ago it was the highest it's ever been. It's still very very high but it has gone down precipitously.
