  • Israel's government on Sunday approved a $317 million plan to double the Jewish settler population in the Golan Heights, 40 years after it annexed the territory captured from Syria.

  • Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's cabinet voted in favour of the plan that aims to build 7,300 settler homes in the region over a five-year period, during a meeting held at the Mevo Hama community in the Golan.

  • "Our goal today is to double the population of the Golan Heights," the right-wing Bennett said ahead of the meeting.

  • Former US president Donald Trump, widely viewed as pro-Israeli, granted US recognition to Israeli sovereignty over the Golan in 2019.

  • "The fact that the Trump administration recognised this, and the fact that the (President Joe) Biden administration has made it clear that there has been no change in this policy, are also important."

  • Roughly 475,000 settlers now live in the West Bank in communities widely regarded as illegal under international law.

This expansion was made possible because of American Presidents trump and Biden.

No terrorism, Syria with the help of other nations invaded Israel. Syria, like the other nations involved lost. Not only did Syria lose the war, they lost land. Golan Heights is a spoil of war.

Syria started a war, Israel won and kept the land as a spoil of war. If Syria never started a war they would have the land that occupies Golan Heights.

The Israeli government later abandoned its initial position, acknowledging Israel had struck first, claiming that it was a preemptive strike in the face of a planned invasion by Egypt. In April 1967, Syria shot at an Israeli tractor ploughing in the demilitarized zone -which Syria considered an ongoing practice of Israeli encroachment on contested land. The event occasioned an escalation into a prewar aerial clash. In May 1967, following misinformation about Israeli intentions provided by the Soviet Union, Egypt expelled UN peacekeepers who had been stationed in the Sinai Peninsula since the Suez conflict,[1] and announced a blockade of Israel's access to the Red Sea (international waters) via the Straits of Tiran, which Israel considered an act of war. Tension escalated, with both sides' armies mobilising. Less than a month later, Israel launched a surprise strike which began the Six-Day War.

Syria, along with Egypt started the war.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.”

Syria should take their grievance to the UN if they want their land back so bad.

Earlier in the week, Syria had twice attacked an Israeli tractor working in the DMZ area. When the tractor returned on the morning of April 7, 1967, as predicted in the plan, the Syrians opened fire again initially with light weapons. The Israelis responded by sending in armor-plated tractors to continue ploughing, resulting in further exchanges of fire. The resulting tit-for-tat escalated, leading to tanks, heavy mortars, machine guns, and artillery[dubious – discuss]

[Dubious = statement not proven. Some dudes firing small arms at a tractor is not 'Syria govenment". Not an act of war. Tractor prohibited in DMZ. Israel tractors = aggression into the DMZ.]

You're only dismissing what I posted because it goes against the narrative you want to portray. I liked how you glossed over the Syrian government announcing a blockade against Israel, blocking Israel's access to the Red Sea. Blockades are an act of war. The Syrian government was known to use and back guerilla groups that attacked Israel and Israelis.
