This is probably like MAD, Russia is telling us not to mess with them or else they will shoot down our satellites.

Russian satellite blows up

US: "Did you just blow up your own satellite?"

Russia: "Er, uh, ye-yes. Yes! We meant to do that! It definitely didn't blow up on its own. And if you know what's good for you, you'll mind your place, or you'll be next!"
