I will put an addendum to this, that I have realized there is a possibility of a big age gap causing the mortality difference. For example if the average age of a vaccinated person in the 10-59 age group is 45 and the average age of an unvaccinated person in the 10-59 age group is 20, for example, this would account for the difference.

But I'm not sure what the actual age difference is, or how much that accounts for the increased death rate. That's also not the reason the reuters article mentioned for the increase... which is odd.

Anyway, this is the possible caveat that would make this not a smoking gun, I have realized. But I still think this is super important and deserves more investigation.
