Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who was elected in 2019 on a pledge to clean up his country’s notoriously corrupt and oligarch-influenced economy, is also named in the leak. During the campaign, Zelenskiy transferred his 25% stake in an offshore company to a close friend who now works as the president’s top adviser, the files suggest. Zelenskiy declined to comment and it is unclear if he remains a beneficiary.

Ukraine's President is the least of it. This is a multi trillion dollar fraud that implicates 35 current and former world leaders, more than 330 politicians and public officials in more than 91 countries and territories, and a global lineup of fugitives, con artists and murderers.

From what i understand, most of what the Panama Papers show isnt strictly speaking illegal. So they arent really "implicated" in committing actual crimes. Basically what these people are guilty of is dodging the taxes they are imposing on their very own subjects

There was a similar leak a few years ago that resulted in nothing, and one a few years before that that also resulted in nothing. I wonder what will result from this one.

this is just going after unpersons like putin. Low hanging fruit. No one cares because it is clearly partisan. Where do the woke people hide their money.

Pretty much this. These are a bunch of career minded lapdog "journalists" larping as real journalists by pursuing kosher approved targets only. The fact media outlets like bloomberg are pushing this story tells you everything you need to know.

They already got rid of the true leakers they were worried about with Assange. This is just some hollywood production aimed to give stupid people the illusion that real independent journalism still exists.
