Any loss of life among the Turkish mercenaries of Sultan Mohammed al-Fateh is good news. They're in Syria specifically to attack Kurds, as well as the Kurdish Afrin Liberation Forces. The Kurds have been allies for the US and for many in the region, and the Trump Admin betrayed them by removing US troops who worked with them, knowing that the heavily armed and financed Turkish mercenaries would soon arrive to slaughter them. The Trump Admin has thus actively supported the spread of Islamic extremists in Syria, and in this case, Turkish Islamic extremists. May they get what they deserve (former Trump Admin included).

US troops were never in Afrîn. There was no need because prior to Turkey's invasion, Afrîn was the only remaining peaceful part of Syria.
