I don't remember that. I remember that Syria invited Russia in and the State department went berserk, And Clinton was making overt threats on television of enforcing a nonsensical no-fly-zone in the places Russia was operating. When the election results came in, a handful of European diplomats or high-level civil servants literally popped champagne corks and made weird, inappropriately-giddy statements.

What we are seeing is the blocking of the plan having cleared. None of the rest of this matters, because there is no analysis going on, there is only the obvious guiding policy. And nobody will call them on it because they're afraid of getting wacked.
