There's a problem with lockdown here as well.

The issues came up not during the lesson but afterwards in the playground when some of the non-Muslim kids started teasing the Muslim kids asking if they were terrorists. While in the past those kids would have ripped back or ignored it they when into instant despair. Basically over the last year of lockdown they have lost all their resilience and basic social skills. Having been alone for almost an entire year they are now so focused on making friends again they are desperate to be liked.

That's horrible, how can they do that. Where's the adult watcher?

The thing is the kids have now mostly come out in favour of the teacher.

Some times kids just get really upset about something really quickly then get over it just as fast. Sensible adults don't get overly involved in playground drama. What these kids want is to be with their friends. Segregating them to protect their religious feelz is actually the last thing they want or need.

well, i think a little bit misunderstood here. Protest in Batley started after the protestors who are parents of those student kids had received report from their kids students about depiction of the prophet according to the news. The teacher who got beheaded in france because of this makes idea of segregation not bad at all. I agree with the content of this news, i prefer segregation rather than losing lives unnecessarily. We have right to tell everything unless it is not lie and in the other hand muslim have right to get be "respected" for their faith. The thing will be different if one of the party, step back for their right, by the means no one depicts picture of the prophet as muslim want or muslim accepts their faith not to be respected, but let's embrace reality, no one will step back for their rights.
