Thank you for the link. So the odds of everybody switching to their own language is a possibility. Will be interesting to see if there's any backlash from this. I doubt most people there would care as long their translators can keep up.

It's symbolic more than anything. It's a FU to the UK and pro French at the same time.

I'm surprised nobody else is acting like the French here. It makes it look like the French are the only people who care.

Or it's a bizarre political grandstanding idea someone came up with to appear more patriotic.

It's very unusual for French, the co-leaders of the EU, to disobey the EU. Particularly in a nationalist fashion.
