It's not coercion if the alternative has nothing to do with the job. I mean you can literally say the same thing about every offer ever made. Wouldn't you rather keep your money and get the things you buy? Is the fact that you wont have the things you buy if you don't hand over the money mean that every sale is coerced?
At that point the word coercion no longer has a meaning.
